Prevent underwater camera fogging

Just a tip I read over on wetpixel, you can cut down on fogging by putting your camera in its housing in a cool, dry environment (like an air conditioned hotel room at night) and keeping it covered or out of the sun in the day. From what I read, it seems like the greater the temperature difference between your camera/housing and the water (or is it the air and the water) the more fogging you might have.

Pay for an excursion or take a taxi to the beach?

In St. Lucia, we decided to take a taxi to the beach instead of going on a beach excursion. We made the mistake of asking to be taken to a popular beach. It was crowded, but worse there were some very aggressive people selling trinkets and junk on the beach. I have nothing against anyone trying to make a living, but if someone says no five times, they're not going to say yes the sixth time. Plus this beach seemed kind of dangerous as jet skis and boats were not confined to certain areas like on other beaches. Silly tourists (sillier than I) would come blasting in on jet skis and it wasn't much fun. Beach excursions from the cruise line don't really cost much more than taking a taxi, and you have the added benefit of a more private beach and often complimentary drinks and/or lunch.
